The Abingdon Arms in Beckley, Oxfordshire, will tonight host an appearance of Prof Martin Stannard, Evelyn Waugh’s biographer and co-executive editor of the Complete Works of Evelyn Waugh project. He will discuss Waugh’s association with the pub which is where he wrote some of his earliest works and visited with friends such as Alastair Graham. See previous post.
